Israeli Drone Strikes Wound Family in S. Lebanon After Ceasefire Renewal
According to reports, the strike hit a car traveling on the Zefta-Nmeiriyeh road in the Marjayoun area, injuring a father, mother and their daughter, who are residents of Jdeidet Marjayoun.
The wounded were taken to Al-Rai Hospital in Sidon to receive treatment.
In a separate incident, another Israeli drone reportedly struck a vehicle on the Zefta-Kfarroumane road in the Nabatieh region, leaving additional people injured, according to reports.
The attacks occurred just a day after Lebanon and Israel reaffirmed a fragile truce and agreed to create “pilot zones” in which the Lebanese army would maintain sole control, excluding all non-state armed groups.
The renewed understanding was announced in a joint statement issued after a fourth round of US-mediated negotiations held at the State Department on Wednesday.
